Terms of use
Drafted 19 August 2026 against what this application does. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.
These terms govern use of the Crimptech application at app.crimptech.nl: the quote flow, the account area and the shipment tracking pages.
They govern use of the application. They do not govern the sale of manufactured parts, which runs on Crimptech's terms and conditions, published on the Crimptech website.
Using the application means accepting them.
1Who these terms are between
The application is run by Crimptech, a general partnership registered in the Netherlands at Letterhout 23, 1507 EG Zaandam, Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 95555927. In these terms that partnership is "we" and "us".
"User" means the company or person using the application.
The application is offered for business use, to companies and to people acting in the course of a business.
Write to info@crimptech.nl about anything in these terms.
2What the application does
Users upload part files, select specifications and submit quote requests. Staff review and price each request, then publish the price and enquiry stage on its quote page.
The quote flow accepts .step, .stp, .dxf and .pdf files, up to 50 parts and 100 files in one request.
Once an order ships, a tracking page shows its stage, an estimated delivery date, locations to city and country level, and any documents staff attach to it.
The application is where an enquiry is made and an order is followed. Nothing is manufactured or sold through it.
3Accounts
An account belongs to one person. Sign-in credentials are personal and may not be shared.
Access to quotes, files and messages depends on the signed-in account. Account holders are responsible for activity performed through their accounts.
Verify the account email address. Staff can review a quote submitted from an unverified address, but quote emails remain on hold until verification is complete.
A tracking link carries its own access in the address. It opens the shipment page for anyone holding it, with no account and no password, so treat it as confidential and forward it only to people entitled to see the shipment.
Tell us at info@crimptech.nl if account credentials or a tracking link may have been disclosed without authorization.
4Acceptable use
Use of the application is subject to the following requirements.
- Upload only files authorized for disclosure to Crimptech and parts authorized for manufacture.
- Give accurate information in a quote request and in an account.
- Do not attempt to access a quote, shipment, file or document without authorization.
- Do not probe, scan or test the security of the application, and do not work around a limit it sets.
- Do not submit quote requests by automated means.
- Do not upload malicious code.
- Do not use the application for anything unlawful.
- Do not copy, resell or republish any part of the application.
5Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and we may remove a file or a quote request that does.
Where we do, we say so to the address on the account.
6File ownership
The rights holder retains ownership of uploaded files. Uploading does not transfer ownership.
Uploading grants Crimptech a licence to use the files to price the enquiry and, if an order is placed, manufacture and inspect the parts. The licence is limited to these purposes and ends when the files are deleted.
Crimptech does not use uploaded drawings, models or specifications to develop its own products.
The privacy policy says how long a quote and its files are kept, and how to ask for them to be deleted.
7Confidentiality
Uploaded files, selected specifications, request notes and quoted prices are the customer’s confidential information.
Crimptech discloses confidential information only to staff and manufacturing partners who need it to quote or produce the parts. Each manufacturing partner is required to accept the same confidentiality obligation.
The companies that run this application hold them in the course of running it. The privacy policy sets out what reaches each of those companies, and what reaches a manufacturing partner.
This obligation continues after an enquiry closes and after an order is delivered.
This obligation excludes information already public through no act of Crimptech, information Crimptech held before receipt, and disclosure required by law or court order. Crimptech notifies the customer of required disclosure unless prohibited by law.
To arrange a separate non-disclosure agreement before uploading, contact info@crimptech.nl before uploading any files.
8A quote is not an offer
A price displayed in the application is an invitation to place an order, not an offer. Activity in the application does not form a contract of sale.
A sale is formed when Crimptech confirms the order in writing and is governed by Crimptech's terms and conditions, listed under Legal on the Crimptech website. These cover price and payment, delivery and risk, inspection, warranty and liability. Written provisions in a quotation or order confirmation take precedence.
Where those terms and these differ about a sale, those decide. These decide about the application. Write to info@crimptech.nl for the version of them in force.
A quoted price may carry a date. Whether and how that date is honoured belongs to the terms and conditions and to what is agreed for the order.
A price is quoted on the files and the specification in front of us. A change to either is a new enquiry.
The stage displayed on a quote page reports enquiry progress and does not create a contractual commitment.
9Availability
The application is provided as it stands. We do not promise a level of availability, and it can be unavailable while it is maintained or changed.
We may change or withdraw any part of it.
It runs on services operated by other companies, which the privacy policy names.
Retain an independent copy of each uploaded file. The application does not provide a backup service.
10Liability
Crimptech is a Dutch general partnership. It has no separate legal personality, and the partners in the firm are liable personally for its obligations. That is a different position from a private limited company.
Until a limitation of liability is agreed, liability is what Dutch law provides.
These terms cover use of the application. Liability arising from a sale, from a part that is out of tolerance or from a delivery, belongs to the terms and conditions that sale runs on.
11Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute about them are governed by Dutch law.
The competent court of the Noord-Holland district in the Netherlands hears any such dispute.
These terms are published in English. If a translation is published later, the English text decides.
12Changes to these terms
The date at the top of this page is the date this version took effect.
Changes are published here with a new effective date.
Using the application after a change means accepting the version published at that time. The version in force when an order was confirmed is the one that governed it.
